Yesterday afternoon the kids were invited to a neighbor's house. Nathan and I were relieved for them to have some entertainment other than a screen as we both had work -- I meeting with the knitting team and Nathan supervising daily youth rec time at the center.
When they came home, Reni was positively bursting with excitement to show us his new gift.
That's right. The 'toy' he's seen many a neighbor boy carry was now his own.
In many a ways, it seems rather fitting that our "David Reni", named after a Biblical fellow who was also short in stature, has a slingshot.
Don't you love how he braces his aiming arm (below)?
