When we started putting together a plan for the Santor's visit, we suggested that Aaron the boys come up with a special event for the village boys. And while we tasked them with this responsibility, could it possibly be something construction-related?
They jumped on the idea and what they came up with completely exceeded our expectations.
We scheduled the event for Friday morning, a holiday (May 1 -- labor day), when the boys would be home from school. As we got ready to eat breakfast Friday morning, we saw that some of the boys had already started gathering at our gate, more than two and half hours before we would open the gates (no doubt hoping to stake their place in line)!

We want to give a special shout out to Lowes for donating 25 wooden monster truck kits, certificates of completion and iron on patches!
Tobin, the Santors' oldest son, gave a devotional message, then we gave instructions about the construction process and started the boys through the stations.
They were amazingly well-behaved, completely enjoying the special opportunity to use real tools and put together their own personal truck.
