What a weekend.
This traditional Catholic Philippino wedding had 46 individuals walk down the aisle!
some of the fun was getting to use Jan's lenses (like this 100mm macro)

Thanks, Jan, for the opportunity!
Sorry for the lapse in posting! I've been playing catch-up since the weekend. Not long after the last post to this blog (Friday afternoon, to be exact) I flew to D.C. to hang out with my friend, Jan. It was my first overnight away from Ellie and I thought I was doing okay with it but had bad dreams both nights that something happened to her (due to my negligence, not anyone else's). Nevertheless I did have fun as I got to do something Jan and I had talked about for ages but I didn't think would ever be possible -- to shoot a wedding together. She had a client who bought a package requiring an assistant photographer and I was more than happy to serve in that capacity.
After landing Friday night we got some dinner then visited the new Air Force Memorial on our way back to Jan's. For those of you who may not have been to DC in the last year, the memorial is just southwest of Arlington Cemetery and west of the Pentagon. Seeing DC (from across the river, I actually never left Virginia this trip) brought back lots of memories from when I lived there after college and reminded me why it's one of my favorite cities in the world! It was a brief trip -- I was back on a plane Sunday morning and in Kentucky in time to feed Ellie a late-afternoon supper and get ready for our evening Global Cafe service.
What a weekend.
Here are some wedding photos from the card currently in my camera...

That's so cool that you got to do that, Cydil! Great photos! My sister Erin was a bridesmaid in a similarly traditional wedding in December.
