A few days ago we passed the 2-month mark since coming home and so I thought I would make a little slideshow to show the changes in our girl already! Click Here (there is music, so be sure your speakers are not turned up too loud). I also finally fixed the error in the "Meeting Elisona" slideshow and have put a link in the "video" section of the right-hand margin of this page. So if you really want to see some changes in Ellie, watch that first!
In other news, next week on Monday and Tuesday Ellie has 3 different assessments scheduled by her First Steps therapists. We're excited to get started in this program and learn some strategies for helping Els get caught up. While we've seen progress in some areas, most notably of late being her absolute thrill with playing in the bathtub and her willingness to pop up on her hands and knees more quickly, Ellie tends to get frustrated or upset much more quickly (e.g. during diaper and clothes changing times, getting in her carseat, etc.). Hopefully we can learn some communication techniques that will help her feel less frustrated at conveying her feelings to us, though we usually already know her feelings on most subjects.
