Ellie around the house

Notice the bucket strap from one of her toys in her hand. She will get enraptured watching it sway back and forth as she flicks her wrist. While sitting in her high chair after she's eaten and we're finishing up, we'll give her the strap and she'll just smile and coo. Sometimes it's the simplest things...

Again, a very cool, fun Leap Frog toy (paying homage to her mom's ag roots) and our girl is more interested in the packaging material...

While we were in Albania, a power surge blew out our TV back home. Hooking up a new set, we found Ellie holding the channel line-up in one hand and the remote control in the other. Unfortunately we couldn't get to the camera in time, but went ahead and snapped this. Like most kids I know, she loves the buttons!

Thanks again for adding a smile to our day. I called my Aunt Gladie today. In our conversation I told her all about Ellie. She got so excited and said, "What a Christmas present!! Aunt Gladie is blind. I love to call her. We talk and talk. She called Grams last night. Both of them enjoyed the phone visit. Give Ellie hugs and kisses from us. Love, Aunt Ruth

Dear Cydil, Nathan and Ellie,
Love the pictures of little Ellie and you all at home. She just gets prettier every day! What a great smile! We've enjoyed tagging along on your journey. Thanks for all the wonderful updates and pictures. It sure stirs up memories! Do they still require your first home visit during the first week home? Just remember that ours was done with mounds of laundry in the background! Have yourselves a great weekend! Steve, Anita and kiddos
