After the storm

This week was unseasonably wet here, but brought a welcome reprieve from the heat.  Friday evening, though, the sun broke through and it seemed that every time I glanced out my window, something new and spectacular caught my eye.

From the balcony over the center:

Then, the view out the upstairs window over the kitchen sink.  Some dramatic clouds for you, Abby!

Wait, go get the 70-200mm lens.

Then, a bit later... if I was higher up the hills behind me, you might just catch a glimpse of that sun setting over the Adriatic!

Yep, those are the hills (below).  And look!  A rather large moon rising!
