...our photo session proved to be a bit of a challenge as Ellie was more interested in stomping her shadow than standing still for her mother. Dad managed to perch her in the tree for a few picts, then she was off! Aunt Ruth, is this a redbud?
I can't get over how "grown up" Ellie is looking. She certainly looks like one healthy, sweet little girl!!!
I do not think the tree is a redbud. They are a softer shade of a more purple-pink,in my memory. It has to be a "special" tree--very pretty. It might be a flowering crabapple-as they bloom early also. At any rate, it's a keeper.
