Fall is always extra busy. Here's a bit of what we've been up to!
- Back to school (I've started an online masters program -- ahhh!! Need I say more?)
- We've been working furiously to finish up the building project and transition to our new facility, which included some renovations on our former space to convert it to different purposes (fun, $$$ and messy! but will greatly expand our capacity for hosting guests, which we still do, even in these days of the pandemic!).
- Due to COVID cancelling most international travel, our sending agency asked us to consider hosting a 'virtual visit' for folks to see what we do here in Albania and learn more about the culture. That's happening this week but we put together more than a dozen videos to give guests an 'immersive' experience through content delivered daily to their e-mail boxes.
- Handmade in Albania launches for its annual holiday sales! I enjoyed snapping pics of the new products made by the knitters! Last year's sales were a huge help post-earthquake. Sadly, their situation has changed little, STILL living in temporary shelters awaiting the promised help from the local government. Construction is starting to happen, but slowly. I know they would be SO grateful if you checked out their work at https://handmadeinalbania.org/
- New products include garlands for decorating your home (in case you live in a warm climate :-) )
